Scholarship Winners
The Graeme Clark Scholarship program was launched in 2002 as a way to support Nucleus Cochlear Implant recipients in pursuit of collegiate studies. This year we are pleased to announce that we have 5 winners. They come from a variety of backgrounds, with a wide range of accomplishments. Today’s high
school honor students are tomorrow’s successful medical doctors and
film makers. Meet this year’s

Nucleus Moments
I just recently (28 June 2006) underwent cochlear implant surgery in Colorado where I received the new Nucleus Freedom speech processor. Needless to say, I have been absolutely astounded at the quality of sounds I now can hear that I haven't heard since I was wounded by rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) in 1970. Sounds such as hearing a clock tick; an air conditioner running; even TV commercials (be careful what you wish for!). Plus I can wear it when I work out at the gym and if it rains, for the first time I don't have to worry about getting it wet! This is truly top of the line. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!
