Nucleus® Troubleshooting Kit for Educators

The number of school-age children with cochlear implants increases every year, and with this it becomes increasingly important to provide resources to help meet the unique learing needs of implant recipients, and to provide solutions to simple problems.  It's important to limit the time a child is without sound.

In response to this need, Cochlear Americas has developed a new product designed exclusively for professional educators who work with Nucleus cochlear implant recipients – the Nucleus Troubleshooting Kit for Educators.

The kit is available for the eight different processors in the Nucleus family and comes with a manual that takes the reader through a step-by-step process to troubleshoot a child’s sound processor.  Tips include how to change batteries, how to perform a maintenance check, and how to check the transmitting coil, headset, and microphone.  The manual also includes helpful illustrations and diagrams.

The Nucleus Troubleshooting Kit for Educators is an effective support tool for parents, clinicians, and educators who work with children with Nucleus cochlear implants, offering valuable information that can save time and spare the silence that could result from a minor problem.  For more information, contact customer service, or print the attached PDF and share with your child’s school administrators.
