Telephone Adapter

Improving signal strength and sound quality

Get a telephone adapter for the best sound quality when talking on the phone. The telephone adapter bypasses your implant’s microphone and sends a strong sound signal directly to your processor.

A telephone adapter works with both body-worn and behind-the-ear (BTE) speech processors.

Helpful hint for ESPrit 3G and ESPRit 3G for Nucleus 22: When using the Telephone Adapter (Z43085), your processor’s microphone will remain active. To eliminate background noise, reduce the microphone’s sensitivity.  Reducing the microphone sensitivity does not affect the level of sound coming through the Telephone Adapter.

The ESPrit Telephone Adapter (Z77085) disables the processor microphone so all sound heard will be coming from the telephone.

Note: Telephone adapter is not compatible with cordless telephones or telephones with the keypad located in the handset.

Caution: Electrical devices that connect your speech processor to audio equipment being powered by a wall outlet, such as the TV/HiFi Cable or telephone adapter, should not be used during electrical storms.
