Quiz for parents

When considering an implant for children, time is of the essence. The age at implantation appears to be a critical factor in a child’s ability to develop and understand spoken language. In fact, recent findings show that children implanted before age 2 possess spoken language skills equal or closely ranked with their hearing peers1. Any delay in your child’s language development actually has broader impacts by affecting their academic skills, including reading and writing.
