Ask Linn: Small Area Loops

Small Area Loops can be used to improve hearing of TV, stereo and can be connected to the public address system in meeting rooms.  The amplifier connects to the audio output jack on the TV, VCR, stereo or PA system.  Individuals with access to the telecoil feature simply switch to the T or MT setting and sit in the looped area.   There is nothing to wear or connect to the processor.  Chair loops and car seat loops are also available.  The looped pad can be placed on the floor under a chair, under a mattress or on the seat or back of a chair.  Special loop pads for automobiles have an amplifier that connects to the vehicle’s radio or sound system.
