Where can I buy an FM System or Sound field?

Phonak and Cochlear

The following links provide more information about Phonak’s partnership with Cochlear and the use of FM receivers with various Nucleus sound processors:

Phonak recently introduced a new receiver named MyLink that works in conjunction with the telecoil feature built into the Nucleus® Freedom and ESPrit 3G sound processors.  MyLink features a loop that is placed around the neck.  When the telecoil is activated, the sound signal is delivered by magnetic induction to the sound processors.  For bilateral cochlear implant recipients or those who wear a hearing aid in the opposite ear, MyLink may be a great option for bilateral hearing if the processor or hearing aid features a telecoil.   MyLink is a multiple frequency FM receiver that works with all currently available Phonak transmitters.
More details about MyLink and other Phonak products are available from Phonak.

Phonak also offers a variety of transmitters ranging from CampusSX to SmartLink with built-in Bluetooth capability.  More details about Phonak transmitters are available from Phonak

Other FM System Brands

Other FM system brands may also be compatible with Nucleus sound processors.   Cochlear Americas carries a variety of patch cables that allow direct connection to behind-the-ear processors like ESPrit, ESPrit 3G and the standard Freedom BTE and the Freedom body-worn controller.

FM patch cables are also available for popular FM systems to work with SPrint or Spectra body-worn processors.

To identify the appropriate patch cable, one must know the FM system brand and model number.  Contact Cochlear’s Customer Service Dept. to check for the availability of cables that are compatible with the specific FM system brand and model.
