There are a variety of ways for Nucleus recipients to listen to tunes!
Tips for ESPrit 3G and ESPrit 3G for N22:
Patch cables – Personal Audio Cable / TV HiFi Cable
To use a patch cable with the ESPrit 3G processor, first connect the Accessories Adapter and the Accessory Adapter Cable. Insert one end of cable (Cochlear) into socket on Accessory Adapter Cable. Plug marked “Walk1”/ “TV1” connects to headphone jack on audio device.

The following accessories may also be used:
- Headphones
- Telecoil Enabled Accessories
- Silhouettes
- Neckloop
Telecoil Enabled Accessories – There are some great accessories that deliver sound through the telecoil. Switch to a program with T or TM and the telecoil accessory will deliver the sound from the audio player directly into the sound processor. Telecoil enabled accessories are great for listening to music during exercise as nothing needs to be connected to the processor itself.
Silhouettes – Place silhouette earpiece next to processor and switch to T or TM. Insert plug on end of silhouette into audio component. Silhouettes are available especially for use with audio players, in single or binaural styles:
- Single
- Binaural (for those with two hearing devices equipped with the telecoil feature)
Neckloop – Neckloops are also used in conjunction with the Telecoil feature. The neckloop is placed around the neck and the audio plug is connected to the headphone jack on the audio player. Switch to T or TM and adjust the volume control on the player and the neckloop. Look for businesses that carry neckloops.
