SmartSound for better hearing every day

Some implants rely on “automatic gain control” to reduce very loud sounds, but “gain control” does nothing to optimize desired sounds. By utilizing SmartSound™, Nucleus Freedom’s “intelligent” speech processor automatically identifies important sounds, allowing you to focus on the things you want to hear.

SmartSound™ is built on four technological innovations:

SmartSound Beam™: for focused listening

SmartSound ADRO®for dynamic, changing environments

SmartSound Whisper™: for soft and distant sounds

SmartSound Autosensitivity™: for comfort in noise

SmartSound Beam  for focused listening in crowds

Having a conversation in a crowd can be difficult, because the surrounding noise can be distracting. Beam is designed to soften the distracting sounds, making it easier to focus on the conversation. View a graph that shows improvements with Beam.
